F3000 Italia, Bologna Motorshow (I), December 6th 2004

The new F3000 Italia series made its debut at the 2004 Bologna Motorshow, ahead of a full season in 2005. Using the ex-International F3000 Lola B2/50, five teams took part - Coloni, CMS, AEZ, Astromega and Durango.

F3 Euro Series driver Marco Bonanomi won in the final for Coloni, ahead of Italian F3 runner-up Toni Vilander, with CMS. Third place went to Luca Filippi (Astromega), with Alex Ciompi (CMS) having to settle for fourth. Formula Renault V6 champion Giorgio Mondini (Durango) didn't make it to the finals.
