FIA International F3000 (1985-2004)

2003 season

F3000 took over from Formula 2 as the official F1 feeder series in 1985. It ran for 20 seasons before being replaced by GP2 in 2005. It was an open formula from 1985 to 1995, but in 1996 it became a single chassis, single engine series.
