Notes:

*Original round 2 race (Nurburgring) cancelled due to snow after free practice sessions completed.

R=retired, nq=did not qualify, np=did not practice, ns=did not start, NE=did not enter, dq=disqualified, ac=accident, NC=not classified.

Bieffe Competition (previously B&C Competition) again became B&C Competition mid-season.

Charouz ISR Racing received technical back-up from Arden International.

Euro Nova Racing were due to enter at the start of the year (on entry list as cars #14 & 15), with the technical support and old cars of Super Nova.

Zlobin's spelling of his first name varies according to source; Sergey, Sergej or Sergei.

Other teams previously linked to the 2002 series included: Arden Team Russia (instead supported Charouz ISR Racing); Team Astromega; B&C Competition (evolved into Bieffe for start of 2002, then became B&C Competition again mid-season); Eau Rouge Motorsport; Fortec Italia Motorsport (evolved into Euro Nova Racing); Team Martello; Orbit Motorsport (on original entry list as Orbit with Celestine, cars #30 & #31); Petrobras Junior Team; Stewart Roden Racing with driver Nathan Kinch (USA), who tested the car late last year (team bought two Lolas from Fortec Motorsport, but later sold them). Registration applications were originally received from 20 teams (40 cars) in November 2001, but grids were limited to 15 teams (30 cars).

Other drivers previously linked to the 2002 series included: Andrea Belicchi (I); Thomas Blainer (A) (reportedly was set to race for B&C Competition, before it became Bieffe); Massimiliano Busnelli (I); Daniele Cardinale (I); Gottfried Grasser (A); Peter Hackett (AUS); Derek Hill (USA); Nathan Kinch (USA) (tested for and was to race for Stewart Roden Racing); Robin Longechal (F); Thiago Medeiros (BR); Stefano Mocellini (I); Rob Nguyen (AUS); Joao Paulo de Oliveira (BR) (tested for Euro Nova Racing late in the season); Gary Paffett (GB); Francesca Pardini (I); Ronnie Quintarelli (I); Nilton Rossoni (BR); Roman Rusinov (RUS); David Rutledge (CDN); Tomas Scheckter (ZA); Hayanari Shimoda (J) (tested for Euro Nova Racing late in the season); Michele Spoldi (I); Yuji Tachikawa (J); Salvatore Tavano (I); Davide Uboldi (I); Luca Vacis (I) (signed for Sighinolfi but replaced by Lancieri); Bjorn Wirdheim (S); Andreas Zuber (A).
