Exclusive Lisa Interview!!!

Full Name: Lisa Jane Butterworth

Nickname(s): Lis, Lise, Little Lis

Date of Birth: 11 June 1981

Place of Birth: Aldershot, Hants

Brother(s)/Sister(s): Older Brother, Jeremy

Hobbies: Watching Musicals, shopping, football.

Likes: Cadbury’s chocolate, Father Ted, going on holiday.

Dislikes: Rude people, when it rains in London!

Where did you go to school?
Wavell School, Farnborough.

What was your favourite subject?
My favourite subject was History, but I also liked English and French!

Who or what inspired you to do what you are doing now?
Well I have just finished uni and need to find a “proper” job so am not really doing anything inspirational at the moment!

What age did you start dancing?
When I was 12.

Have you had any embarrassing moments on stage?
I had to wear a tutu on stage once, which was pretty embarrassing!

If you could be someone else for the day, who would you be and why?
I think I would be whoever is playing Eponine in Les Mis at the moment as I love that part/show!!

What is your favourite sport? Do you support a football team?
To watch it is football and I support Farnborough Town FC (hey someone has to!). As for playing.. I used to like playing hockey at school!

What is your favourite film?
I like loads of films but my all time favourite is Gallipoli.

If you weren’t "starring" in shows, what would you be doing?
Well I’m not starring in shows but if I was and I wasn’t (?!) then I suppose I would do something to do with History!

If you could be in any show, what one would it be and who as?
Eponine in Les Mis!! But also Sophie in Mamma Mia, Dinah in Starlight Express, Glinda in Wicked, and Charity in Sweet Charity..(not that I have thought about it!). Damn me not being able to sing!!!

What was the last show you went to see? Did you enjoy it?
Saturday Night Fever! It was fantastic, although sad to see certain people go (as it was the cast change).

You have been in "Saturday Night Fever" in Germany, toured Scandinavia and are now touring the UK, how do you stop the show becoming boring and repetitive? Which version of SNF do you prefer?
Nah I haven’t been in any of those shows – you lie!! But as you asked I preferred the London Palladium version of SNF but with some of the casts from the UK tours and the London cast just gone! I could do my dream cast list but that’s not for here!!!

Do you get on well with the rest of the "Saturday Night Fever" cast?
Well I am very selective in who I talk to but the ones I have spoken to have been lovely!

What is your favourite song from the show?
Boogie Shoes and You Should Be Dancing to watch (although have to have a decent Tony to enjoy that) and Immortality to listen to (not Ben or Stephane’s versions though! David/Darren/Aykut all the way… not that I have bootlegs of course, that would be unethical of me!).

What are your plans once the Tour finishes in June? Any cast lists we will be seeing your name on?!
I told you before I am not in SNF! Where did you get that idea from?!

What was the first record you ever bought?
Kylie’s first album.

What was the last CD that you bought?
Sweet Charity

What is your worst fear?
Spiders.

You have five minutes to live, how do you spend that time?
Panicking! (Don’t panic! Don’t panic!)

What are your ambitions in life?
To get a good job and fall in love/married.

Do you have any hidden talents?
Bacon sandwiches!! Mmmmm!

If a film was made about your life, what person, alive or dead, would play you and why?
They’d never make a film about me!! But someone blonde and dappy would have to play me!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Same answer as ambitions question..

You have three wishes, what are they?
(1) to see my Nana again. (2) no war (peace, man!!) (3) for me/family and friends to all be happy and healthy!

What is your best childhood memory?
Playing in a sandpit – technically not my best memory more the first memory I could think of!

Describe your proudest moment . . .
Good question (even if I do say so myself!). Not sure, probably passing my exams and getting my degree.

Tell us a secret . . .
I’m fickle! Hahahaha like that’s a secret!!

A big thank you to LISA for answering our questions :-)
