Full Name: Alexander Anderson Jessop

Nickname(s):

Date of Birth: 08/06/1981

Place of Birth: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire

Brother(s)/Sister(s): None

Hobbies: Playing Piano (self taught)

Likes: Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream and Millie’s Cookies, Domino’s Pizza

Dislikes: Winter (wind and rain), seafood

Where did you go to school?
South Bromsgrove High School.

What was your favourite subject?
Design and Drama

Who or what inspired you to do what you are doing now?
Michael Jackson and the 80’s pop group 5-star.

What age did you start dancing?
8

Have you had any embarrassing moments on stage?
I fell over in Chicago once – they had cleaned the stage a bit too well, and I slipped onto my knee – a few of us fell that night.

If you could be someone else for the day, who would you be and why?
My girlfriend – so I can see what she means when she says she has to put up with my moaning!

What is your favourite sport? Do you support a football team?
I don’t really follow sport – it’s never interested me, but if I had to support a team, I’d say Aston Villa.

What is your favourite film?
I like many – 28 Days later and the Green Mile are near the top of the list.

If you werent "starring"; in shows, what would you be doing?
Recording and writing songs of my own.

If you could be in any show, what one would it be and who as?
Starlight Express – as Rusty. I saw it when I was twelve and wanted to play that part ever since. I was gutted when it closed!

What was the last show you went to see? Did you enjoy it?
“Mamma Mia” – it was great fun, but I was right at the back of the upper circle so would like to see it a bit closer to the front next time.

You have been in “Chicago” and “We Will Rock You”, which do you prefer?
I like them both for different reasons – Chicago was great fun to do because the Fosse choreography was fantastic to do – very sexy and subtle but WWRY has great music, and I get to play “Galileo” so what more can I say?

Do you get on well with the rest of the "We Will Rock You" cast?
Yes.

What is your favourite song from the show?
To listen to I like “Under Pressure” and “Who Wants To Live Forever” but to perform probably “We Are The Champions”.

What was the last cd that you brought?
Luther Vandross, the best of.

You have five minutes to live, hoe do you spend that time?
If I had a choice, I'd be with my mom, dad and girlfriend - that'd be enough.

What are your ambitions in life?
I’d love to release an album, and to have songs on it I’d written.

Do you have any hidden talents?
I can cook.

If a film was made about your life, what person, alive or dead, would play you and why?
Probably David Schwimmer (Ross) out of Friends because people say I look like him.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Rich and Famous, hopefully (hey – we can all dream)

Describe your proudest moment . . .
Telling my parents I had got into “Chicago”. It was my 1st job, and I hadn’t even left college.
